Tesla offers 10,000 km of free charging for empty stock before 2023

Tesla has found an effective way to empty inventories before the end of 2022. Namely, the manufacturer has decided to offer 10,000 km of free charging to all buyers who receive their electric car before December 31, 2022.

While the Tesla Model S and X have just returned to the European market after a two-year absence, the manufacturer has decided to take action to sell remaining Model 3 and Model Y stocks before the end of the year.

Tesla multiplies offers to empty its inventory

However, as our colleagues from the Electrek website revealed, Tesla is determined to empty its stocks before the end of the year to match those in the US and Europe. And the brand has just launched a new special offer. As a matter of fact, Some customers waiting for delivery just received an email from Tesla. The builder counts Offer them 10,000km Supercharger credit valid for the next two years. The email says the following.

Tesla has decided to give free Supercharger credits equivalent to approximately 10,000 kilometers driven if you take delivery of a Tesla vehicle between December 15 and December 31, 2022. Free Supercharger credits will be credited to your Tesla Account in January 2023 and will continue to be valid for two calendar years from delivery.”

It is then pointed out that these free credits cannot be transferred to another vehicle or person. That means they expire if you sell your Tesla within two years. Important, Tesla accepts no liability if your vehicle is not delivered by December 31, 2022effectively depriving you of this offer.

In any case, this is an interesting gift. If we rely on the current tariff per kWh, i.e. 0.66 euros on average, this represents 10,000 km a total saving of 1640 euros. Note that this isn’t Tesla’s only financial gesture. As a matter of fact, Tesla is already withdrawing 3000 euros from its available Model 3which increases the bill to €48,490 instead of €53,490 (plus a €2,000 eco-bonus reduction).
